Swiss Steak Recipe
Swiss Steak
¾ teaspoon salt
Dash of pepper
1/3 cup flour
2 pound grassfed round steak or cube steak
2 tablespoons grape seed oil or similar flavorless oil
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped green pepper
2 cups or one large can of whole tomatoes
Combine salt, pepper and flour. Dredge steak in flour and pound flour into meat.
Brown meat in oil in frying pan. Add onion, green pepper and tomatoes. Cover and simmer slowly until meat is very tender – about 2 hours. Add water occasionally if needed.
