Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich Recipe
My daughter is a philly cheese steak fanatic. I found an easy and simple way to create this sandwich using the cooked and sliced grass fed roast beef.
1 lb. grass fed cooked and sliced roast beef
4 sandwich rolls or hoagie buns
1 bell pepper thinly sliced
1 small onion thinly sliced
1 package of button mushrooms, sliced
2 tablespoon butter
1 1/2 cup colby or provolone cheese
Preheat boiler in oven. In a saute pan, add 1 tablespoon butter, cook peppers, onions and mushrooms over medium heat until tender. Add the cooked beef to pan and heat through. about 4 minutes. Season with salt and black pepper.
Spread butter on rolls and toast under the broiler. Remove and add the meat and vegetable mix to the rolls, top with cheese and mayonnaise and broil for 30 seconds or until cheese is melted. Serve immediately.
