If you are Paleo, you don’t have to have a bun to enjoy grass fed beef hamburger.

Paleo Grass Fed Hamburger Salad Recipe

2 lbs Rain Crow Ranch Grass Fed Beef
1 Package of Baby Lettuce
2 C Sliced Baby Portobello Mushrooms
1 Sliced Vidalia Onion (Or Sweet Onion)
3 Small Rainbow Sweet Peppers

Cranberry Pear Salad Dressing Recipe

3 T Lemon Infused Olive Oil
6 T Extra Virgin Olive Oil
3 T Cranberry Pear Balsamic Vinegar (or Balsamic Vinegar)
1 t Garlic Powder
Salt and Pepper to Taste

Start by forming your hamburger patties and cook them in a cast iron pan.  When they are done, remove from heat.

When Vidalia onions are in season (like they are now), some people in the South eat them like apples.  Even though Vidalia Onions are amazingly sweet, in my opinion they are better sautéed.  If you see them in your grocery store, they are definitely worth trying.

Add your sliced Vidalia onions and sweet peppers to the oil from the hamburgers.  Sautee for a few minutes then add the sliced mushrooms and sauté the mixture until done.

While sautéing, toss your baby lettuce salad with lemon infused olive oil, olive oil, cranberry pear balsamic vinegar, garlic powder, salt and pepper to taste.  I find that adding either infused lime olive oil or infused lemon olive oil adds a nice bright flavor to salads.  If you don’t have these gourmet ingredients, use any favorite salad dressing.

Place the hamburger on the salad and surround with the mushroom, onion and pepper combination.

With this recipe, you won’t miss your bun.
